Duke Nukem Forever Trailer Releasing Tomorrow

Holy Crap! I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry? I'm sure everyone will still let loose with "that will come out right after Duke Nukem Forever...".
No, really. "It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever. ... Rest assured more is coming." - George Broussard

30 Years of LucasFilm Staff Christmas Cards

Over at slashfilm there's a cool article about the different holiday greeting cards that have been sent to LucasFilm employees and business partners. Personally my two favorites are the following:

Yoda as Santa on a sleigh with a california license plate which reads “YODA”

This one has everything from Indiana Jones to the twin suns from Tatooine.

Best Buy Hates Satire and Free Speech

Best is giving out Holiday cheer via Cease & Desist Letter!

Yet another reason to really hate Best Buy. They have done some really retarded things in the past. If they ever get tired of having bad PR, they might want to take lessons from places like Linden Labs, when they sent a proceed and permitted letter.

New Eve Online expansion renders Windows XP unusable

This is most definitely NOT the way to roll out a new expansion for a game. How can something so major get past the testers to live? Talk about poor QA.
CCP Games recently released an expansion for their MMORPG Eve Online containing new premium graphics content. However, the installer was programmed to delete C:/boot.ini, making it impossible to reboot without manually repairing your Windows XP installation.Vista is unaffected.

Best Windows Error Ever May Rip Time-Space Continuum

This is just classic Windows error message fun. Leave it to Microsoft to cause a space time paradox in an operating system..

Blizzard and Activison Merge

I'm kinda torn on this issue. I don't really play Wow, but I'm really looking forward to Starcraft 2. The merged name is craptacular. Activision Blizzard? Come on...

PC World has an interesting take on what's happening. They do make a good case for how it "could" be good. I'm hoping Blizzard gets to keep all the people who make their games great. I guess only time will tell.
