Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe Initial Characters Announced

This Mortal Kombat game is going to feature characters from the DC comics universe. So far, the only characters confirmed to be in the game are Scorpion, Sub Zero, Batman and Superman.

According to ED Boon in an interview, there won't be any fatalities. I fear this may irritate die hard Mortal Kombat fans. He also stated that you won't see Batman or Superman tear people's heads off or killing people.

I'm thinking I might just have to get a PS3 just so I can play this game. If the trailers are any indication of game play this one looks like a winner so far.

THQ Exec: Console War Is "Totally Irrelevant"

I have to disagree with Jack Sorenson on this one. He might think a console wore is irrelevant for game publishers, but ultimately its up to the consumer. Without a console war there would be no competition. Without competition gaming and consoles would never be where they are now. It's simple economics. Competition is always good for the consumer, and that ultimately is who they should be concerned with.

THQ executive Jack Sorenson has branded the hardware battle between Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo as "totally irrelevant", arguing that the rewards offered by each represent a "win" for games publishers.
